13. Understandable that emotions are still high
I am just hoping that if Kerry keeps it up, if he does positive things, that people won't fight him and make the job harder.

I understand the need to heal. And "mellowing out" can't happen overnight. But I just ask that people keep their hearts and minds open to any possibility, and not shit upon a good idea from a man they no longer really support if that good idea actually is presented.

No need to shoot ourselves in the foot, and work against ourselves.

6. OK
I guess that's the pessimistic point of view. I understand what you're getting at. The other side of it is that the Dems and Kerry especially are in touch with the rest of the world. Kerry in particular is skilled, experienced and well respected. This respect and knowledge will help shape American public opinion and policy.

10. So, Syrians want to show RESPECT for Americans who show intellect and
faith in diplomacy first?

Go figure.

12. And I was just thinking he was starting to look all hounddoggy again
Instant facelift when he smiles. That is a nice smile. He must have gotten quite the nice welcome.

Go man go! Can you picture Bush doing that? Everywhere Bush goes, they protest. Everywhere Kerry goes, they smile. Now what does that tell you, hm?
