And the good Democrats in the House and Senate need your help. Do not give up. We will fight these lying fascist bastards to the grave. Our Senators and Reps must know that we are out here and we will continue to speak up, even if they cannot....or will not. You are important to the movement to save our democracy and to preserve our freedom. They do hear what you are saying. They need to hear what you saying. The price of liberty IS eternal vigilance.

6. Write directly to them. Or call them.
Use their Websites for contact info, or go to congress.org.

9. We need to hang together
but we also have to let all our voices be heard. Now is the time for dissension and time to discuss our differences. I was proud of the many progressives I know during the last election. We fought mercilessly during the primaries but stood behind Kerry.

I, like many, want a better grassroots organization. I want a party that listens. I want a more progressive and populist party. Many in this party do not. So I support a hashing of our differences during a non-election year. Let's fight it out for our party and our country. I still believe we should support progressives at the grassroots level and possibly develop a new party. At the statewide and national level, we need to stand behind Democrats during election season.

12. I agree cally.....
But we must maintain our priority....We have to fight for our Party and for our country at the same time. Many might call that tilting at windmills but that's the way I see it. We must engage our fellow Democrats in an honest debate about the direction we are headed. If we all agree that we are going in the wrong direction, then it is our utmost duty to oppose it with every fiber of our being. Nothing less than our future and our freedom is at stake. If they are not presently on our side, that does not mean they are equal to the fascist radicals now running our government. They simply need more persuasion.

11. I'll trade you some Sam Adams for your Franklin.
"It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds"

"Mankind are governed more by their feelings than by reason."

"Our contest is not only whether we ourselves shall be free, but whether there shall be left to mankind an asylum on earth for civil and religious liberty."

And I can't resist:

"That the said Constitution shall never be construed to authorize Congress to infringe the just liberty of the press or the rights of conscience; or to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms ... "
