What would Reagan think of Bush's Social Security "reform" ?

"Listen Sonny, we fixed Social Security back in 1983 with a lot of work and manipulation and lies, and today, you're trying to imitate the Gipper and I don't appreciate it. If you remember, we had a huge deficit back in '83, just like you have today. We needed revenues. With a bi-partisan commission, we were able to "reform" and save Social Security up beyond 2041. It saved my political hide.

Now you have the same problem I did after giving away the farm to your rich benefactors and you need more revenue so you go back to the Social Security well again. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery but I think the people are going to catch you with your hand in the cookie jar, because you are not Ronald Reagan. They will chop off your hand..."
