Scarborough calls Armstrong Williams a "sucker," says he got way more
Edited on Mon Jan-10-05 09:55 PM by Bouncy Ball
Scarborough, in a shocking statement, called Armstrong Williams "a sucker" and said today that he received "way more and just recently" to promote the President's Social Security plan.

Scarborough apparently said this to an AP reporter while on a break from taping his show. He disclosed, "Yeah, I got $ 1.5 (million). I don't know what William's deal was, why he didn't hold out for more. Guess he's just a sucker!"

/sarcasm off

3. that sounds like a bad joke, to me
are you sure he wasn't kidding? I find it hard to believe that a) Scarborogh would be worth 1.5 million and b) that if he was, he'd say so in public

5. This may or may not be true but this shit is boiling up....
and it growing legs by the hour. If just one more person steps forward, all hell is going to break out. They will be running from the microphones and the cameras, rather than toward them, as they have done for years.

the bush administration is SO damn corrupt no one here would disbelieve something like that. We do have a healthy need for links and sources, as evidenced by the smart suggestions for them.

Oh and on edit, I am sorry. Going to the time out corner now.

Though I do apologize if it caused any reaction unnecessarily.

On second thought, maybe I should have added /sarcasm off.

10. Sounds like a setup
Look for the AP reporter to be discredited with a bad quote and the once again the Bush Administration will look like victims of the liberal media.

16. This kind of boldness is exactly what I deal with in my Republican county
on a daily basis. People here have two faces. To the dumb masses, they talk the talk of honesty and fiduciary responsibility. But in the end, no one takes a civic position without planning to get some private money out of it. That's the influence of the Chamber of Commerce. They infiltrated community civic positions and look aghast when you suggest that they should not personally gain from their position of authority.

It's time to call them on it.
