3. protesting, wearing orange, in my hometown
cant afford DC but can afford to take the day off and go protest in Seattle. I'll wear orange and am still thinking of what to put on my sign. Oh, and I'll have the VCR running to catch the REAL protests in DC. Wish I could be there.

18. won't do any good in East Tennessee to wear orange.
Everyone here, majority freepers, all are Tennessee Vol fans, so everyone has plenty of orange to wear year 'round.

Guess I'll wear black, though, that should be noticed.

tell the SS I said hi. I am sure you will have plenty of time to talk to them.

12. I've egged Bush's bus this summer, so I'm pretty familiar with the drill
It's a fast, quick motion. The eggs stay in your pocket until the last possible moment.

Very exhilarating!

You will be dropped like a sack of potatoes and whisked away before the egg hits the ground.

10. I'll be protesting the illegal inauguration of Bush, of course
PROTEST THE ILLEGAL INAUGURATION OF BUSH! 24 HOUR STRIKE ONJAN. 20!

For 24 Hours SHUT DOWN THE U.S. ECONOMY

-- If you are an employee, take Thursday, January 20 off. Take a
vacation day, a personal day, call in sick. I don't care. Just don't
work. (Emergency workers excluded).

-- If you own a business, (and I realize this is a very big request),
close down your business on January 20. Put a message on your voicemail
letting anyone who calls know why you are closed. Put a sign in your
window. Just do it!

-- If you have a website, take it down, and put up a page that says your
business is closed because you are mourning the death of your country,
the end of democracy and the US as we have known it, the stolen election
and the illegal inauguration of bush!

-- If you have friends outside the US, tell them not to buy an american
product, an american stock, conduct business with an american firm, nothing!

-- AND NO ONE HERE BUYS A THING! Not a bottle of water, a pay-per-view
movie, a candy bar, a gallon of gas, a pack of cigarettes, nothing. Get
organized and do it the day before.

While you are sitting home, pick up the phone and call the media and
tell them what you are doing. (This is the ONLY thing you are allowed to
spend money on.) Call your senators and representatives if you think it
will do any good.

They wouldn't listen to us when we called and emailed and filed
lawsuits. They thought that they were going to steal our country and
our freedom, send us to war, put the profits in their pockets and then
rub our faces in it by inaugurating bush? I say NO WAY!

On Inauguration Day Protest!

Our religious leaders will not speak out against the war in Iraq. Our
political leaders don't have the moral courage to oppose it. And our
"free" press has been so bought out by mega corporations they could not
even find the wherewithal to investigate a stolen presidential election.

And now, on January 20th we are being asked to accept the man who
brought us this new world order as our leader?

Inauguration Day, Thursday, January 20th, 2005 is the day we SHUT DOWN
THE U.S. ECONOMY for 24 Hours.

That's right. The War Machine, The Military Industrial Complex,Political
Lobbyists, Corporate control of the media. It's all about money. This
time, we hit them where it hurts.

For 24 Hours SHUT DOWN THE U.S. ECONOMY

Not one damn dime for gasoline. Not one damn dime for necessities or for
impulse purchases. Not one damn dime for anything for 24 hours.

Boycott Walmart, KMart and Target. Don't go to the mall or the local
convenience store. Don't buy any fast food (or any groceries at all for
that matter). For 24 hours, please do what you can to shut the retail
economy down.

Not one dime on pay per view, stamps, don't put mail in your mailbox,
nothing.

The object is simple. Don't spend, Don't work, Don't participate in the
economy.

15. new job, no vacation time, not enough sick time, still in training
so really can't take the day off.

But I won't buy gas, groceries, or any other items that day. Thinking about taking peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch, too. ( A WIC lunch, so to speak)

The only money I plan to spend is my donation to my local party org to keep the rent paid on our headquarters

9. Did you see this? the first "Inaugural Bawl"
"Jan. 20 will bring a wave of lavish balls to Washington -- and a fair share of mourning by Democrats. In Alexandria, for example, Fred and Susan Morhart are hosting their first "Inaugural Bawl" at an afternoon party in their home. The invitations, lined with black borders, promise "consolation, sedation, tissues and lunch." The Morharts, both retired pubic school history teachers, will be serving quiche with a white Bordeaux and are expecting about 40 guests. "We have a bunch of Democrat friends who are pretty seriously depressed," Fred told us. "Not moving to Canada, yet -- but we thought it was a good idea to get together." Black crepe optional."

suggesting a nationwide boycott against purchasing ANYTHING: food, department store items, ESPECIALLY gas. If we can keep the BFEE from earning just half of their daily oil take of 100 mil per day, it will be something to cheer about.

20. Bid my husband and his Guard unit goodbye.
I posted about this in another thread. I hope I'm not being too redundant, but it is on my mind, and I can't get away from to irony that when Mr. Bush takes office, my family is being torn apart. :( I will probably feel this way for awhile. Try to put up with me if you can.
