Tamar Jacoby of the Manhattan Institute on Open Borders--YUCK |
|
Did anyone catch this act on C-Span? She gave a speech on her book, "Reinventing the Melting Pot", essentially a poorly cloaked argument in favor of amnesty for illegal aliens. What a racist in sheep's clothing. Kept talking about the need for Mexicans to be "my next" gardener, waiter, and "someone to do the laundry" while "she/we" are busy doing "more important things" like getting a higher education, etc. What? Using what for money, Tamar?

1. The Republicans are about to have a war over amnesty |
|
& illegal aliens.
Bush's plan for additional workers to come to the US & eventually to give amnesty to those who are here already, is causing a real schism in their party.
I read an editorial by a conservative that said if the Dems opposed amnesty & open borders, & took a populist approach to protect American workers, they would trounce the Repubs, & would be able to put together a coalition that would be very powerful.

2. Yeah, and this DELUSIONAL Jacoby thinks it's a matter of not if but when |
|
That Dems and "moderate Republicans" will jump on board "the Bush plan". Dear God, that CAN'T be right. They are importing cheap labor and cannon fodder and people who can pay Social Security taxes and then never collect...AMNESTY SUCKS!

3. Maybe the Dems will... I don't know. |
|
but the Conservative Repugs won't.
The NeoCons like cheap labor, so they're in favor of it.
