Amazing AOL poll results on inaugural expenses |
|
What's your take on the amount of money spent on the inauguration? It's too much 83% It's about right 17% Total Votes: 97,365
Amazing because most AOL polls lean Republican.

2. I guess it is just too wasteful and extravagant for everybody. |
|
Except the 17% who work for the White House or are invited.

4. It is so self-serving, so damn arrogant, so unnecessary I want to puke |

a re-coronation of a sitting President in self - created wartime, with troops not properly armed, and the distruction of natural disasters in our own country still not rebuilt, and the largest natural disaster in the age of instant communication that we ever "watched" happen only 2 weeks old, it is a sin/an abomination.
I spoke about it on a Signmaker bulletin board when we first offered to help with the Tsunami and our paltry contribution was to be 15 Mil./augmented to 35 Mil/ shamed into 350 mil.
I got flamed and creamed by the Repukes, and wrote back and told them I understood, they were taking out on me that they did not like it either.
Another situation where we could have redeemed a little bit of all the lost good will around the world.
I am so angry I keep chewing nails.

5. Does this mean that some of freeps and fundies who are either out of |
|
work, vastly underpaid, or whatever, and are having a hard time meeting their bill and taking care of their families, are waking up? Is the reality that we are in deep economic doo doo finally starting to cause a stir in a brain cell or two? Wonder if they suddenly realized that 'the kind of guy that they felt they could just have a beer with and talk to' wouldn't be having a 40 - 50 million dollar coronation if he really were that kind of guy?
