Let's say that they were to endorse my all-time favorite senator Rick "Man-on-Dog" Santorum. If the DSCC were smart, they would run ads saying this...

"Rick Santorum is endorsed by the group godhatesfags.com. Although they seem like a group that is for traditional family values, they are really a notorious anti-American group (Flash pictures of protestors with God Hates America signs). Are these really the kinds of family values that you want your Senator to have?"

But Fred Phelps is a registered Democrat.

For those not familiar with his history, he moved to Topeka to handle civil rights cases back in the days when he was an attorney (before he was disbarred, that is).

Back during the 2000 election some Repugnantcan operatives dug up an old photo of Phelps with Gore and circulated it on the internet to disuade gay and lesbian voters from supporting Gore.
