This is because conservatives can ALWAYS blame the bleeding hearted liberals accountable for everything and it's a target they cannot miss since liberal excesses of good intentions result in such things as too much spending on 'frivolous' projects, while conservatives don't bat an eye when the defense/intell complex manages to lose trillions (example: "Military waste under fire

The old checks and balances system is out of whack now precisely because the press is not holding the conservatives accountable for ANY of their mistakes; liberals are too easy a target due to their bleeding hearts worn on their sleeves.

Richard Cohen's article on the CBS news crew firings shows that liberals will be held to a higher standard than the conservatives, since Bush's litany of errors without anyone held to account shows "loyalty" to his subordinates-- a character virtue...but no mention of the ignorance that led to the errors is allowed to make it to the press.

Why ? Why this double standard ? Why should the media hold a double standard that lets the conservatives completely off the hook ?

The "community service" from Bush's Lost Year is apparently being served concurrently with his Presidency.

Seriously! She is one smart cookie. When she gets out of jail, she needs to start her own network of on-line/cable/radio aimed at women but with crossover that is mainstream/left. as a proud liberal myself we always pride ourselves in espousing our liberal values as a more moral standard the virtue of helping every individual to their very potentials. From social justice,economy,health care,equal rights,and to the environment Liberals are on the forefront on all of these things. Rightfully or wrongly we must always strive to be better than our conservative friends we may be down sometimes or things don't go our way but our ideas and principles of Liberalism should not waver nor we should compromise to the latest political flavour of the month.
