1. Is the religious allusion intended?

2. "Forgiving" is religious?
Does that imply non-religious people are incapable of forgiving?

20. Religion has nothing to do with faith itself.
Religion is only the rules or boundaries of practice the group is expected to follow and abide....

Faith is a personal, intuitive-internal feeling which is accompanied by trust...

Forgiveness is completely a private choice.

6. He has nothing to forgive me for.
If he's the nominee, he'll have my vote.

I am sure that when Clark/Dean or Dean/Clark are in office they will forgive the BS.

9. Dean creates his own problems
The other Dems don't even need to create commercials anymore, just run that speech last night with type running along the bottom.

13. That's for damned sure!
I was really embarrassed that I had even thought of becoming a Dean supporter after that little performance. The politics of anger can only take you so far, and electability appears to be what matters to Dems most now, as it should. Kerry is electable, Dean simply is not.

11. Forgiveness is certainly possible
But the DLC candidates probably shouldn't hold their breath for a cabinet post or tag for VP.

14. Here is the eventual outcome from the tirad....er, speech everyone's so
exercised about:

He will lose few of his loyal supporters, will gain very few new ones from the 'undecided' camp and give the Repugs ammunition (and consequential gains) for their campaign.

I guess the usual disclaimer has to go here before I get slammed - I have contributed to his campaign several times over the last year or so (and to others as well) and will obviously vote for him if he's nominated.

He didn't do himself any favors.

16. He might, but I won't.
And I swear now that I will never pile on a candidate and his supporters after a setback the way those digusting Dean-bashers did here last night.

Never.

19. Forgiveness doesn't mean one has to condone
what's been done. Dean switched churches over that bike path, so I expect there will be consequences, but nothing continual or harassing.
Personally I hope Dean gives the front row Press Room seats to the bloggers - Tim Russert would blow a gasket, wouldn't he? LOL

If shrub can lock out Helen Thomas, the press corps needs to do some thinking....
