Kennedy's "Medicare for All", "no clones" story hits 52 on Google News
Edited on Fri Jan-14-05 09:55 AM by eg101
So far, 52 stories only on Kennedy's rather exotic and daring call to arms yesterday:

http://news.google.com/news?q=kennedy+clones+medicare&hl=en&lr=&c2coff=1&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&tab=wn&ie=ISO-8859-1&scoring=d

But where are the other 'crats on this story? Why are they not echoing his call for "Medicare for all, college for all, no Democratic clones of the GOP"?

Where is your "liberal" Messiah, Howard Dean, on this story?

1. Ted does well! Like the call
This is the sort of thing we should be speaking of.

Clear, simple, progressive.

Ted is great.

2. but where is the party response to this? And where is the online response?
Maybe this sort of thing is not what the leaders and major activists find interesting. The American people would like to see this. But the leaders and major activists of the 'crat party are not interested in supporting this sort of thing. That much is apparent. But why?

3. My thinking is that they are "old school," that many still think that
there is a chance for good, healthy, bipartisan deals to be made. I'm old enough to remember the pre-Reagan years, when all that was possible. Even as bad as Nixon was, we had reasonable policy coming out of Congress and the Prez knew he may as well sign it.

It no longer is, though, and our folks in DC need a stiff retraining program--even a boot camp.

I'd like to see those days return, but anyone who knows the NeoCon/RadRight agenda knows that that is no longer possible.

I've said this before on DU, too.
