Opponents to Bush's $40 million coronation: His response to you
http://www.cnn.com/2005/ALLPOLITICS/01/14/bush.regrets.ap/index.html

Reporters at Thursday's round-table also asked Bush about the high price tag for his second inaugural celebration and suggestions the $40 million gala, which is being paid for by private donations -- much of it coming from lobbyists and corporations -- be scaled down.

"The inauguration is a great festival of democracy," he said. "People are going to come from all over the country who are celebrating democracy and celebrating my victory, and I'm glad to celebrate with them."

Democracy needs a lavish party.

Sounds like insecurity and propaganda to me.

5. That's exactly what it is
I read last week that one of the catered items will be "white chocolate cowboy boots."

I guess that's the kind of candy they eat in Connecticut, where this fake-ass POS cowboy actually comes from.

6. No surprise that he is an arrogant asshole...
The DC officials should just refuse to police the event. It is a perfect occasion for a "blue flu".

People are going to come from all over the country who are celebrating democracy and celebrating my victory, and I'm glad to celebrate with them."

He should be struck by lightning for uttering those words. What a disgusting, lying ^*%$@&*$

8. So it's not HIS party.
He'll just be attending. They (people from all over the country who are celebrating democracy) will be joined by him. I guess because he is a good sport or something.

It must be the people from all over the country who ran up these expenses and refuse to reimburse Washington, D.C. for its security costs.

Once again, shifting the blame.

9. It's a festival of democracy! Not a black tie ball with huge $ admission.
Craphead keeps using words that describe the exact opposite of reality. Here, he pretends to be a man of the people. What a dick.

A festival has carny rides, an Uncle Sam on stilts, cotton candy and open admission. It is the entire community, or at least all those who want to come.

Bush has black tie and tickets at tens of thousands of dollars. You had better not try to get too close.
