MSNBC - National Intelligence Council report could be Bush's worst fear
>>>>>

MSNBC: Tim, President Bush has called the war in Iraq an integral part in the war on terrorism. But now we see this report from the National Intelligence council that says Iraq has become the new training ground for terrorists.

Russert: It realizes his every worst fear.

Afghanistan had been the haven for al-Qaida, with the Taliban protecting them -– we had to go in there and take down the Taliban and try to root out al-Qaida.

If Iraq becomes the new haven, geographically, it is a disaster. It is so much closer to Israel and to other countries in the Middle East.

15. No facing the music here. Just Chimp & Co wagging the dog.
They started the war based on WMD, eminent threat to America from Saddam and Iraq, and a link between Iraq and 9/11. All three have long since been proven totally false to anyone with an IQ higher than their shoe-size, but watch to the Administration to spin this: "Iraq is terrorism-central! See, we were right all along. Where better to wage the war on terrorists than right in their front yard!!!!"

Never mind the fact that it became terror-central AFTER we invaded. That would require way too much connecting of the dots!

8. Al Qaeda a myth?
How many Al Qaeda terrorists were actually captured in Afghanistan? Isn't the whole idea of an international network of Al Qaeda a fantasy?

The Jihadists in Iraq fighting today from what I've heard are not Al Qaeda. It seems like all of these fighters get lumped into one category.

I believe it is not Bush's worst nightmare. In fact he probably likes it because it further justifies his "War on Terrorism."

9. Is this anything but the latest spin
to justify slaughtering every resistance member. Must be because common sense told a lot of us that there would be no citizens with garlands of flowers - just a population becoming more angry by the day.
Every action brings a reaction - Duh!

13. Stupidhead's worst fear?
That would be the mainstream media suddenly decide to quit protecting him and screwing the public interest. As long as the media whores keep doing their spectacular job on behalf of the corrupt Bush administration, why, I bet George could start an unnecessary and unjustified war if he wanted to.

I bet.

17. We have been saying this for two years now
As have a number of terrorism experts. The National Intelligence Council is apparently made up of slow learners. And how shall we describe Bush, who refused to learn at all?
