37. He's still pretty young. But he has some good experience, and
should Dean win this, you can bet he'll ask Rosenberg for help.

Good to see Dean is in a strong position as a second choice as well.

7. Can someone give me some info on Frost
with all the Rosenberg, Dean, Roemer drama going on in DU I haven't heard a thing about Frost. He could become the next DNC chair by the looks of this very limited poll.

9. Texas, Southerner, very moderate.
Spoke well at the conference last week. He would fit the Southern requirement many want.....

I am not sure of his stances.

11. He lost his seat from Delay's gerrymandering in Texas. He really would
like to knock Delay on his ass. That is the impression I got from the C-span forum they showed last weekend.

He isn't my first choice but he sounded like he was ready for a fight with the GOP.

... that's a point in his favor, in my view!

We need someone in there who's out for blood!

19. The Frost-Sessions campaign was quite the mudfight.
He knows how to fight dirty. He also knows how to run an ENORMOUS campaign, and how to be organized as hell. He sponsored the nationwide Amber Alert bill, and he was responsible for helping get federal money for the transportation system in North Texas. He's actually married to a general, I think, or some other high-ranking military officer.

But I'm not sure he was as anti-war as many on this board would want. However, I don't remember exactly how he voted.

23. He sounded better then I expected during the C-span forum. Sometimes
there is too much over the top criticism of other Democrats around here. People get turned into some sort of raging Repug when we actually agree with them on almost everything.

You changed your avatar! What is that?

27. Frost is WAY too moderate
even right leaning. That's how he kept his seat here in Texas all those years.

I knew some Dems who worked on his campaign this last time who had to hold their nose to do so. They did, because they didn't want Pete Sessions to win (he did) but they still didn't like some of Frost's positions.

He's a good guy but he goes along to get along too much in my opinion.

That's the key. Just like all those undecideds in the primary. Dean has the vocal supporters, but watch the silent plurality.

20. Here's Frost's general record from Project Vote Smart
http://www.vote-smart.org/issue_rating_category.php?can_id=H4010103

Pretty much in the mold of Clinton and Gore-mainstream but strong on several major party issues and weak on others.

29. I think Frost might get it
I noticed Novak was pushing him on Crossfire. He's a moderate from Texas I think the insiders feel he's the safe choice.

I'm tired of the democrats playing it safe. We need to take bold steps if we want to win in '06, '08. Dean is the Bold choice and Dean is the right choice for DNC chair!

He sat at my table at the latest (my first) DFA meetup in Culver City, CA. He said Dean was the leading favorite.

Let's hope that trend continues!
