1. He doesn't want to deal with prescription drugs and health insurance.
That's why.

Social Security is not a crisis thing (IMO). It needs to be looked at, but there are people right now who have to choose between food and medicine (and for lurking dummies, aka freepers, not everyone's trust fund covers expenses). There are children right now who have no health insurance.

He doesn't care. Plain and simple he doesn't care.

3. He wants to spend what's left and dismantle the program.

His neo-con buddies want to undo everything FDR did.

10. Social Security is NOT in jeopardy
that is unless Bush trys to dismantle it. FDR put Social Security in place so NO ONE would ever have to worry about dying or living in a cardboard box from poverty.

The Stock Market Crash which lead to the Great Depression should be a lesson to us all, unfortunately, Bush is catering his shitty plan to young employees who don't understand the impact that investing their money in the stock market may reep. ( and I don't mean millions)

Ask an Enron employee or a teacher ...they lost it all...

GREED...that's what it's all about with this administration. How much we can make and how fast before the American people see that they are acutally being screwed!

12. Regressive taxation: You still pay S.S. taxes but don't get benefit.
The amount Bush wants to privatize is a small percentage of what you pay in accompanied by a massive cut in futurn benefits. Bush claims the stock market is so great you will more than make up the difference even though many Americans just lost their retirements in the stock market.

This way a regressive tax paid primarily by Americans making less than 87,000/year (social security cap) can continue to be used to fund Bush tax cuts to the top 2% income brackets.

The government is broke and he needs more money without increasing taxes on his wealthy friends.
