Who is behind the Dean-Blogger "scandal"--Dems or Repubs? |
|
And it is really sad that I would have to even ask something like this. My first reaction was that this was a typical Bush trick aimed at taking the spotlight off his own wrongdoings, yet I can't help but wonder: Did this attack come from one of our own? Was this story thrown out there amidst the Armstrong Williams scandal to diminish Dean's chances of becoming the DNC chair?

It's a smoke screen, an effort to convince the public that other politicians are dirty and try to buy their support. So now the Armstrong Williams deal doesn't seem so bad.
Of course, this isn't the same situation at all because it isn't tax dollars. But surely that point is lost on shrub's defenders.

3. From someone knocking Dean to stop the DNC Chairmanship. |

This is such a chicken-shit move. Both bloggers announced this when it happened. They have a right to earn a living. Why doesn't the story cover all the network tv whores who take big fees from corporations to come 'talk' to them. The WSJ should be ashamed but whomever is behind this is a total swine.

9. My guess is that it came from the far right wing. |

They weren't very fond of Dean (with good reason) and played the media/psych games when he was running in the primaries. The story served two useful purposes: to downplay Armstrong Williams, but primarily to hit Dean. They definitely do not want Dean as any face against Chimpy or what Chimpy currently stands for.
I have mentioned this before, but I think more people have to realize that Chimpy and Dean are polar opposites coming from a similar historic American background. The difference is in priorities and yes, "values," although that has been a turn-of-phrase, a linguistic tool, used to manipulate people.

Kos was clear about his involvement with the Dean campaign. He had a very visable note on his site to that effect.
So what? This is nothing like Williams taking taxpayer money to push an administration program without ever telling the public.
Sounds to me like someone dearly doesn't want Dean to get the chair. Makes me all the more motivated to want him leading the Party into the 2006 campaign.

The seem to be a lot of black operatives like in the movies. It could be anyone. It doesnt smell like Rove. He would have created a fake blog on the sly and then have it receive a few thou. And then exposed it through an intermediary.
This is the work of a sloppier GOPer or the DLC.
