ReDefeatBush Concludes, Left.org is Born
ReDefeatBush retires on 1/20/05 having done great work. We pioneered some new methods to engage activists and to get people registered to vote with our ReDefeatBush Calling Crews in major metropolitan areas. We got thousands of people to contribute hundreds of hours each registering tens of thousands of new voters at hundreds of events nationwide. Tens of thousands of people were registered to vote thanks to us. To pay for it we generated contributions from well over 5,000 people for more than $350,000 in revenues. And all this with not a single contribution that exceeded $5,000. You did the work, you paid for it when you bought buttons and other stuff and you had far more impact than organizations that were drowning in subsidies from crazy billionaires but still could never somehow find the right idea.

ReDefeat Bush succeeded as an organization because it was the right idea. Please take a look at the participation prospectus for ReDefeatBush's successors -- a political committee called Left.org and a media company called Majority Media. We think this is the new right idea. The opportunity before us is monumental and there is room for everyone. We look forward to growing vigorously yet methodically in 2005, breaking new ground, having fun and chasing Bush from power, not necessarily in that order. Won't you be with us?
