BLUE-STATER TAKES ON RED WATCHDOGS

Amanda Toering has decided to fight the "Chicken-Little" prudes over at the Parents Television Council on their own turf. By founding SpeakSpeak.org, Toering says she wanted to "create an equal and opposite reaction to the PTC's activism. The FCC is required to act on citizen complaints and to base their judgments regarding obscenity on 'contemporary community standards.' Right now, they're only hearing from a very narrow slice of the community. We need to remind them that we're out here, and that our standards:
a.) count just as much, and
b.) don't make us perverted slobs."
