Iowa wing nut blasts "leftist socialist piggies"
Edited on Sat Jan-15-05 05:00 PM by CatholicEdHead
I was shaking my head when I read this whopper. He goes on and on and on... about "socialist piggies indoctrination". He even has his kid reading Michael Savage (aka Weiner)'s first book.

The writer is just more than a little bit "out there".

http://www.politicalgateway.com/main/columns/read.html?col=227

" My kids attend a larger suburban school district about 15 miles East of Des Moines, Iowa. It’s a conglomeration of the much smaller small-town schools in the area where K-12 used to be contained in one building. With the influx of the middle class folk looking to escape the “big city” of Des Moines by moving to larger homes in the ‘burbs, this school district that once used to comprised of separate, sleepy little schools of a couple hundred K-12 students in one building has now swelled to better than 10,000 kids – most of whom come from hard-working, upwardly mobile middle class families. Hardly a huge school district, but no longer a bunch of tiny ones. And hardly an enclave of good little socialist piggies. But regardless of whether the sprawling subdivisions popping up around Altoona, Runnells and Mitchellville Iowa are populated with little socialist piggies and whether or not the middle class mostly conservative folks who send their kids to school in the Southeast Polk School District are even aware of it, the schools ARE populated with little socialist piggies who are indoctrinating their children in the ways of the left by infusing the little munchkins with their leftist opinion presented as fact in the classroom and eagerly lapped up by the impressionable and politically unaware little skulls full of mush.

2. Whoa, this guy sends his kids to a public school?
Why doesn't this rugged individualist pay for his own kids' schooling instead of asking all the other taxpayers in Iowa foot the bill? It appears that when dimbulb is calling "socialist," he ought to have a mirror in front of him.

3. founder AND president ?
This guy is what 'we' used to call a *loner* - Founder and president of his own think tank ? The other right-wingers in his area probably want nothing to do with him.

:freak:

5. Bet he uses public roads too
I love to ask about roads when someone accuses me of being a socialist.

Unless they own a property forming a corridor to everything they use in their life, they use public roads. It is a good place to start reminding them they are not an island.

4. I'm a little confused here
Does this mean I'm a "little socialist piggie", or a "commie", and can I be both at once? I admit I never did do well in political history, but I certainly do want to make sure I label myself correctly.

While I agree with the jerk on one thing - fifth graders are not quite ready for the gay teacher/partner subbing for him thing, I somehow doubt it's true. Both of my children (in their early 20's) are quite comfortable with gays - it's a non issue to them. I doubt that they would have been able to grasp it in 5th grade, and I doubt very much their school would have allowed it.

Really, I just wonder whether I'm a "commie" or a "little socialist piggie"? I'd wear either proudly in front of this guy.

6. I live an hour NE of Des Moines
I live an hour NE of Des Moines and am shocked about what this guy wrote. He is right that there are sprawling subdivisions popping up in SE Polk County, but it sounds like he is mad that he no longer lives in a small town and is pissed off at everything. I think he needs to move away from civilization. Iowa has plenty of small hick towns where he can walk around with his guns and bible.

8. He is an obvious shittohead. He quotes Limbaugh several times.
I am willing to bet that he also is a republican welfare queen. Most shittoheads are. They think that all of their government benefits should be free.

10. There are a little pig farms here in Iowa
I just didn't know they raised socialist piggies, I though they raised them to be butchered.

11. The Cold War ended 14 years ago. Wake up asshole.
Having a mix of ideas that make our country progress and not backtrack make it great. And I hear a lot of backwards ideas from conservatives.

12. Sounds like a case of a bad Irish diet of Right Wing Radio and TV
Clearly, the guy is a Rush Limpole fan. Rush uses "little skulls full of mush" all the time when talking about education and those evil Democrats.

Pepper in some Hannity and O'Reilly.

There you have it... the Irish blowhards on Talk Radio and TV...

Consider the guy armed and dangerous...obese...and probably Baptist.

16. Typical
Steve Bowers has been a staunch conservative since his first vote for Ronald Reagan at the age of 19. He's the founder and president of the one man think-tank Conservatism is Reality Inc. and a regular contributor to Pardon My English, a Conservative Topics Blog. He lives with his loving, blended family smack dab in the heart of flyover country.

Blended family? Is that another red-state divorcee? If he's not a widower, I suggest he honor his conservative social institution committments.
