2. Does that mean . . .?
That he will order his military to quit shooting unarmed persons and stop dropping bombs on people who can't fight back, can't get away from the bombs and who never meant us any harm?

Or is life only worthy of sanctity for folks like him?

9. That's great news!
I bet he'll be commuting a few death sentences on Sunday!

No?

Oh, I guess he'll be unveiling a national health-care plan on that day!

No?

*GASP* You mean he's going to order all the troops out of Iraq!!!

No?

Well, I guess the sanctity of life day is a crock to make the fundies feel good about themselves while their tax dollars get siphoned off to Halliburton.

20. Just a little red meat for his base.
They throw out some nibbles for the base any chance they get. Afterall, how else are they going to keep them from caring that their jobs are leaving, their kids are dying, and they're about to lose their Social Security. Gin 'em up!

Roe v Wade: bushCo doesn't give a rat's ass about Roe v Wade, but if it keeps them cheering for the neocons, they'll do over throw anything. As David Reese once wrote: they'd have an eagle fucking party on the White House lawn if they thought it would get them elected.

29. Cool!
Since Dubya values life so much and religious freedom, then he'll do the following.

1) Stop starting wars that get several people (incluing women and children) killed.

2) Stop trying to make abortion illegal, which will get women killed from illegal abortions.

3) Stop trying to pass religious related laws like the marriage amendment (which it looks like he probably will. Woohoo!).

4) Stop promoting abstinence only education, which experts say will lead to more STDs being started.

5) Never again say that he'll have a crussade.

Oh, that's right. Dubya's full of it.

40. He is setting this up
and it will be followed up by many more over the period of a month or two--the word will be "sanctity of life" to be incorporated into anything anyone who gets the memo is saying, even if it has nothing to do with abortion. Women will buy the emotional pitch, and insist they be the purveyors of the "sanctity of life" by accepting a few cells is a "baby", is "life" and is "sacred" and mother's day cards, lauding them as occupiers of a white marble pedestal to be honored with a halo of sorts, and other gifts. Not only that, but other women who do not buy it,I suspect will be viewed as somehow flawed and as "haters" of life as the "unpatriotic" meme was exploited. They will eventually turn against their sisters who do not buy it. Those will be the "fringe", the atheists, the enemy of motherhood, the feminazi.

It is interesting also, that this comes just before the MLK holiday.

She told me last night that the prepared lesson is all about abortion (she goes to a Southern Baptist church), but she was changing it and was going to also talk about war, poverty and capital punishment.

Think she'll get thrown out of the church?
