Rahm Emanuel Is One Of The Best The Democratic Party Has To Offer |
|
He HAS a spine. And on every occassion I have ever seen him on TV he's not failed to impress.
Concise and takes no crap from anyone.
So if he had a 'bad day' with Russert... then he had a bad day.
The MULTIPLE posts here on this forum BASHING him are totally counterproductive.
It is one thing to criticize someone's performance.
It is another to make sweeping, derogatory and FOUNDLESS statements to smear a smart and effective Democratic Congressman.
You think he did poorly on Russert? So did Howard Dean.
I've seen Rahm kick GOP ass MULTIPLE times.

|
ALSO had a 'bad day' with Russert isn't 'bashing' anyone.
Unless you are a hypersensitive Dean supporter who thinks he's infallable.

I'm just laughing because Dean's name pops up here a lot.
I'm sure Kerry, or Clark, or Edwards, or any other Democrat must've also had a bad day on network talk shows.

5. There are no more "bad" days in this game |
|
How hard is it to stay on message if clowns like the GOP puts forward can do it?
Why won't ANY Democrat say what every Democrat knows?
Bush in NOT mistaken, he is LYING.
Thousands have died in Iraq because of his lies and now millions are going to be left destitute with this Social Security Piratization.
For Pete's sake, the AARP that laid down and died over the Medicare crap is taking out full page ads attacking the administration plans for SOcial Security. Why can't a Democratic spokesman get on the air with Russert and simply state the obvious truth?
Bush is lying. His figures are lies. His arguments are lies. His supporters are morons.

Emanuel with the sentiments you just expressed, using the same forcefulness and passion. Please mention the AARP position. I've already e-mailed, but mine was not as effective as what you've just written. Please do it, if you haven't already.

an effective job. But my question is this. What is his stated position on Social Security privatization and theft? This has been around too long for him to just be finding his sea legs now. What are some links to his views on privatization? If he's never given any, that's a bad, bad sign.

The media pulled the same bullshit on the war. 'What would you do differently?' dems had no fucking idea. The same shit is happening here. They have to come up with some goddam ideas of their own. Unfortunately Emanuel had no comebacks.

21. Flaming argument to bring up Dean when he wasn't interviewed! |
|
Edited on Sun Jan-16-05 12:48 PM by IndianaGreen
Did you watch the MTP interview with Emanuel? I ask this because all you have done is to go into a defense of Rahm Emanuel not based on the facts at hand, the sort of blind defense we heard from Mrs. Grainer about how proud she was of her torturer (and convicted) son.
Speaking frankly I cannot comment on Emanuel's MTP performance for I did not watch it, nor have I read the MSNBC transcript (it replays tonight). I will withhold judgment until then. Having said that, I will point out that DUers with moderate to progressive posting records have lambasted Emanuel's performance on MTP, particularly on his inability to properly attack Bush's positions on Iraq and Social Security. It is this reason why I am perplexed about your defense of Emanuel, and the basis of that defense.
Another DUer said that Emanuel had strongly criticized Bush's plan to gut Social Security on a Chicago radio station. The same poster wondered aloud about what happened to Emanuel when he went on a national stage. I am wondering the same thing!
I'll give you a hint, when Clark supporters say that Emanuel was spineless on MTP, you can bet your house that it was true.

22. Sorry, but Rahm was GODAWFUL on Meet the Press |
|
Did he even prepare for his appearance? He's credited with shaping the Clinton White House's message during the 90s, but I was hard pressed to detect ANY message in his appearance today. He seemed to be completely uninformed about social security, and refused to give a straight answer to any of Russert's questions.
