"yeah, I really like the Doors."
Now he wants access to all CDs to copy.

5. I have a 19-year-old daughter |
|
who went completely crazy over the Doors about four years ago and bought every recording they ever made. I was so amused. She even had big posters of Jim Morrison all over her wall. I guess there's nothing sexier than dead rock stars.

3. My 16 yo is always lifting my CD's |
|
And I let him! I know what a dearth of good new music there is out there, at least on the "popular" front. Last Christmas he spent $65 of his own money and bought me the Led Zeppelin Box Set...then promptly took it to his room and ripped all four discs to his computer before I even got a chance to look at it.
He's taken all my Cure discs, and loves the Ramones, too. I can't think of a single "new" band he listens to. I have about 600 or so CD's, so he's always digging through my stuff looking for discoveries. Good for him!

4. MUSIC... from earlier years |
|
have always been a GREAT way for me to "rationalize." Having lived threw the late '60's and '70's, I've gone from 33 1/rd's to 8 tracks, cassettes and now CD's.
Many of the words from those songs STILL apply today!
Amazing

6. I heard a local group cover |
|
For What Its Worth the other night at a dinner club. It's as completely relevant today as it was in 1967. Gave me chills.

9. Ain't That The Kicker! |
|
But as I said, It's a "fall back" for me! I probably should write the words to the whole song because THAT'S when it REALLY hits you.
People hearing WITHOUT Listening, etc.!
