WSJ's Taranto, gasp, can imagine Kerry as a president |
|
From his "best of the web:" John Kerry is an adult, and unlike Howard Dean, it is possible to imagine him as president. This doesn't mean he'd have an easy time beating President Bush--the last Democratic nominee from Massachusetts carried only 10 states against the last Bush--but the likelihood of Bush winning a landslide re-election is certainly lower than it was 24 hours ago. And to be fair, Kerry is more lifelike than Michael Dukakis.

1. Someday, maybe I can imagine |

Taranto as a serious writer.
Sarcasm aside, I think this is a marker of fear among the Radical Right.

I can definitely imagine John Kerry in the White House. Dean, on the other hand, really disappointed me with his bizarre theatrics last night. Such behavior wouldn't even be acceptable for a city council candidate, much less a presidential candidate.
