Aren't you just a little tired of it all?
Sorry but I'm little weary of fighting the good fight. A lot of us gave a large chunk of our bodies and souls in this campaign. We put up with this shit for four years believing that there is no way people could be so stupid as to 're-elect' this guy. I'm little tired of it all. Forgive me if I take break for a year or so. Maybe by then the weight of arrogance and corruption will implode this administration.

If not, I'll be fighting again in '06.

3. OsaMABUSH
I know exactly how you feel. My husband and I do a daily news email (collecting indy news stories, evaluating MSN with actualy facts, etc, a nutball site of the day, stupid quote of the day, etc. and other political forwards regarding political action, etc.

Directly after the election, I was all fired up with anger, Then, I just grew weary. I took 5 weeks off and felt totally refreshed and ready to fight again.

So, maybe a short break, but don't loose the passion!

2. If the system for counting the votes isn't fixed by 2006, don't
bother putting up a fight or, for that matter, casting a vote.

4. Apathy will kill democracy
if we let it. I just don't feel I can afford to get tired of it all.

5. The Christian Right is so powerful b/c they never take breaks or give up
Sara Diamond, who has written four books on the Christian Right, says that their persistence, through both victory and defeat, has been a large part of their success.

They focus on infrastructure building and base building because that is part of their religion (the Evangelical part - it's mandatory to try to convert other people.)

Unless we get a similar level of organization (not likely, IMHO) or achieve numerical superiority with a lower level of organization, we will never be able to defeat them.

6. Tired? No. I'm waiting.
Watching and waiting. It's only a matter of time, and the only question is, will things break apart soon and gently, or some time from now and in a devestating fashion?

So no, I'm not tired. I'm taking a moment to catch my breath.

7. Never give up.
We lost this battle, but we will eventually win this war. It won't be easy, but things worth fighting for never are.

8. How about on last parting shot before you take R-n-R break?
While Barbara Boxer is grilling Condi, send some e-mails to the MSM asking them to pay attention to Condi's tap-dancing act. I think MSNBC is covering it live tomorrow morning. Should be fun...

9. Walk through a poor neighborhood, look at the children, and resolve to
make the world better for them. Take a walk through a forest, and resolve to fight to protect what's left of the nation's forests. Watch the 1954 movie "Salt of the Earth" and be re-inspired to fight for working men and women.

10. The only thing I'm tired of is us getting our asses kicked!
I tried to make a New Year's resolution that I would not get emotionally invested (much less financially invested) in politics this year. Just tired of it.

That lasted less than a day.

11. Sometimes you have to take a break. I did the last time around.
I don't regret it for a second.

I'm more healthy for it, too.

A break is good.

To your health!

12. republicans didn't give up
newt ginrich was working on his vision since the 80s, he had to go through elections of democratic congress and president and deal with inability of republican party to fight hard and unified enough in order to prevail, but he didn't give up until he got what he wanted.
