For months, Renee Jensen has stirred up controversy in Elkins by posting anti-war and anti-Bush administration signs on her front porch and in her front yard. Last Tuesday afternoon, Secret Service agent James Lanham and State Trooper R.J. Boggs spent 90 minutes questioning Jensen in her home.

“They asked me a lot of questions,” Jensen said. “He told me they were investigating a call they had received. The person who called said I was running for city council, came knocking on their door and said I wanted to cut off President Bush’s head. Jensen said the two officers asked many questions about her personal history, employment history, her family and friends.

Lanham also asked for permission to search her house. “I said, ‘Well, sure. I do not have anything to hide.’ He said if he found something, he would take it. But apparently he didn’t see anything worth taking,” Jensen said.

Lanham also asked Jensen three times to sign a form to give the Secret Service permission to obtain all her personal medical records. “I refused and told him that Big Brother would not ever get permission from me to do that. He told me it would be good if I cooperated fully and that was not fully cooperating. But the whole time, he was very, very cordial.

Edited on Tue Jan-18-05 02:49 AM by rainbow4321

Matthew Rugh, resident agent in charge of the Secret Service in Charleston, said Friday, “I cannot comment on any investigation that may, or may not be, going on in this instance.” Boggs has also declined to comment.

5. what a ridiculous waste of our tax dollars
So they checked her out because they feared she might cause harm to the president, or that was their justification. The story notes: "“He also had me write out a statement that I did not make any threats of harm to Mr. Bush. I signed that,” Jensen said. “He also took three Polaroid pictures of me and pictures of my signs.”

Have you ever heard of an assassin who posted their views of their intended target on the front lawn? It's ridiculous.

7. This is only the tip of the iceberg.

8. I would find out who said this and sue them for defamation and
making a false report. Welcome to the gulag, America. I would have thrown their sorry asses out on the street before I would have them in my house.

11. All of this is frightening but most frightening is their asking for the
medical records. Remember the Bushistas plan to force-screen the whole population for mental health? I think here we see the beginning of this.

They'll want to prove that everybody who opposes the Bushistas has a mental health problem - and they'll force the poor victim to take medication. They'll have a zombie instead of having to send somebody to the Gulag - much better for their world-wide reputation.

There should be an outcry from every civil and human rights organization in the States right now because of this. It should be UNTHINKABLE that police ask for the medical records in such a "case".

13. We'll have to buy our own zombie meds from U.S.
Bush compatible companies, and we won't even be able to get a Canadian discount.:-(
Then again, if the meds work, we'll be happy about it.:-)

18. Nobody expects the Bushevik Inquisition!
Make any unfounded accusation against somebody to get them investigated by the SS.

Looks to me like this will end her chances of getting on the city council. What an easy way to ruin political aspirations.

This will work both ways, folks.

20. What happened here is that one of her neighbors
decided she was tired of the anti-Bush signs, so she turned her in to the Secret Service and made up some shit about wanting to chop off Bush's head. The same thing is going on in Iraq -- neighbors settling scores by telling American troops that the guy down the street is an insurgent.
