Poll question: Who is it to be?
Kerry or Clark?

They seem to be the most in the front right now. With the media, President Apostate*, and others hyping up military (which is good as Apostate* would fall on his face for every single other topic!), we have no choice. Kucinich is out , Dean is out  .

Also, why was Gephardt crying in front of the cameras? Sadly, he's not in a parallel universe where people who see emotion as a sign of strength get rewarded... (see a certain episode of "Sliders" for more...) I pity him though.

I like Kerry and Clark, and more importantly, I know that a radical liberal won't get elected. I think we need to move back to the left slowly, or at least stop the repuke madness.

I should pick #4, but it seems Kerry or Clark will be the winner.

14. Actually Run A National Campaign & Raise Millions
Edited on Tue Jan-20-04 07:14 PM by cryingshame
and leave us not forget the grassroots thing.

OR taking on Junior and Rove consistently in no uncertain terms while all the other Democrats had a foodfight.

By the way, Edwards sounded really tough when he said he'd beat Bush in his own backyard....

16. What has Clark done?
What in the world has Edwards done? I mean ever done! The guy's claim to fame is the untold millions he has made as a heavy % lawyer! The guy has NO foriegn policy experience, He has barely any domestic experience, quite franky he barely has any experience in anything except working multi million dollar deals with fellow lawyers.

2. Clark for me
But that's no secret. I've got no problem backing Kerry either, but Edwards is my very-close-to-Clark #2.

3. Clark...
though I think it is a little early to dismiss Dean. If he wins in New Hampshire, or gets a close second, he could be a third competitor to that pair.

4. Dean
And will remain Dean no matter what.

Dean is the only acceptable candidate.

6. "Sticking with my guy" will win this poll (edit, whoops)
Edited on Tue Jan-20-04 06:52 PM by jpgray
I'm still deciding between Kerry, Dean and Kucinich. I need to research Clark some more before I can decide on him. Supporters of Kerry are in short supply on this board, though hopefully that will change.

Whoops, didn't see the "sticking with" option. That will probably win.

9. You forgot to put in Dean
He gets my vote until the end. I will support Clark or Kerry when Dean officially withdraws (if that even happens). There's a long way to go.

10. kucinich
Now i know he didn't do as well as the top four, but he DID get over 15% in enough precincts to get 1.2 delegates. That is better than expected. and how can you count out edwards? or dean? It is WAAAAYYYY!!! too early to be able to tell who's in and who's out. just a couple weeks ago it was all about dean and kerry was barely making a stand. Now if you just wanted to know who DU prefers, kerry or clark, you sould have just said that and left statements about who's in and who's out out of it.

12. Don't count Dean out.
Clark is my choice out of the present field, so this isn't a partisan comment. About 2000 people voted in Iowa, and they are committed democrats. I was surprised at how badly Dean did, but Dean has enough reserves to shrug off one or two setbacks and still win in the Primaries.

13. Clark...BUT..
this isn't over yet and Edwards has a great shot.

Dean and Kucinich aren't done either.

Also, you mentioned Gephardt crying..it was perfectly understandable, it wasn't just the end of his campaign, he's nearing the end of his career in public service, so I think he has a right to be emotional.

15. A Kerry / Clark team
with JK at the top of the ticket.

Kucinich is the only one I'll gladly give my vote to though.
