3. Pete Stark
One of the best guys in either house of Congress.

I can't stand Findspine; she's an idiot, a child of privilege, too image conscious to be of any use even to herself, an appeaser and a complete lily-liver. She's the beneficiary of having been in the right place at the right time, and she's coasted on that for the last 25 years.

6. Condi was provost at DiFi's alma mater
They may actually go back aways, which would explain at least part of the friendliness.

I have to admit I'm getting tired of trying to defend Senator Feinstein's record in Washington. I understand that her committee was lied to by Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld and the rest, so she voted to approve the Iraq invasion. But I have given up imagining that someday she would publicly repent and put the blame where it belongs: on Bush and his minions. I fail to understand why she's such a team player when the "team" is Bush.

So I agree: if a good Democrat wants to oppose her in the next primary election, at this point I'd give him or her a long look. We have a local termed-out Assemblymember that I would LOVE to see go to Washington, but I am not sure if you can make the leap directly from State Assembly to the Senate in DC.

But you won't catch me trying to get a Republican elected in her stead.

Hekate

7. Run against her blatant conflict of interest --hubby's $500 mil. Iraq deal
What a disgrace. She makes me sick. I'd love to see her exposed for the fraud that she is.

20. No. Members of Congress are not subject to recall
Their terms are set by the constitution. The only way they can leave is death, resigantion, or expulsion (which would reqire a majority vote by the Senate).

13. You can't beat someone with no one
And right now there is probably only one person in CA would could beat Feinstein, but he is probably going to run for reelection for Governor.

14. But, but, but, but, but, but, but, she's a . . . . TRAITOR!!!!!!!
I'd rather have a real Republican in that Senate seat instead of a Republican posing as a Democrat. Actually, we ought to get rid of ALL the Democrats in the Congress who don't support immediate withdrawal from Iraq. Seriously, it's not as if we'll ever be able to elect any Democrats anyway once BBV is implemented nationwide.

16. Do you really believe that most CA Democrats think that she is a traitor?
When was the last time a Democrat challenged her in the primary?

18. No one will challenge her, she is the most popular democrat in the
state which is one reason why they were clammoring for her to run against Arnold in the recall election last year. I would love for a qualified democratic opponent to step up, but it will not happen.
