"It's important that we celebrate a peaceful transfer of power .... You can be equally concerned about our troops in Iraq and those who suffered at the tsunamis (and) with celebrating democracy," Bush said in a CBS News interview released on Monday.

2. LOL!!
I'm so glad it'll be peaceful. It'd be terrible if he decided not to relinquish power to himself and jumped up and started a fight with himself in the middle of the inauguration.

4. He's had enough trouble negotiating with himself -
A fistfight with himself might kill him.

5. It means the election was stolen again, doesn't it?
I remember the idiot TV commentators covering the last Inauguration. They congratulated everyone on having a "peaceful transfer of power". Just so we wouldn't get hung up on that "voting" thing--so 20th Century, you know.

Of course, Bush heard the phrase, remembered it & used it. Incorrectly, of course--no power is being transferred. But he didn't reject it as an obscene travesty of Democracy.
