the "assent" bobble: it usually means someone is trying to dismiss what you are saying and find an opening to interrupt or lead you off on a tangent. When someone is intentionally using it while speaking it means they're trying to get accordance from you, as people tend to mimic each other and sometimes see the "assent" bobble as a subliminal tool for getting a positive leaning response.

Just posted the same in another thread. She has always done this. It's always important in diplomacy to be absolutely transparent and obvious when you are lying.
