This administration makes Richard M. Nixon seem saintly.
And Richard M. Nixon was evil.

1. I agree.
This idea is summarized in 'Worse than Watergate,' by John Dean (who should know). He should have enough for Volume II by now.

2. A robopres that combined the
worst traits of Nixon, Hoover, and Harding would be a BIG improvement over *.

3. I didn't think it was possible
but yes, you are right. I NEVER thought I could be more ashamed or disgusted by an administration but I am. A few more years and our war dead numbers will be matching Nixons.

6. Nixon seems less and less horrible with the distance of time
In some ways I think Reagan and Bush 41 did more damage. But in terms of absolutely DESTROYING things that were going well and setting us back by decades if not centuries, while moving us forward into new levels on some things (debt, pollution) there is NObody who even comes close to George W. Chimperor Bush. Nobody ever. He will leave this country SO much worse than it was when he took office, faster and deeper than I ever imagined.

7. It truly does. John Dean agrees with you, too.
Hell, Nixon wanted socialized medicine; he's a veritable saint in comparison with these thugs, and he was eeeeevil.

to contend with.

9. I never thought I could hate a politician more than I hated...
...Nixon.
...An arrogant crook, wasting the lives of thousands of Americans and hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese, all to protect some dizzy sense of prestige.

But hey, he established the EPA. If you look hard you could probably find a couple of other things he did correctly.

And Bush may overtake that 58,000 Vietnam dead figure soon.

Bush is by any measure the very worst president ever. He has never done a FUCKING THING right!

10. Nixon was evil but
managed to accomplish a great deal, even during the Watergate investigation. The EPA, opening trade with China, special ed legislation, I am sure there are more. shrub, on the other hand, is a one issue prez and he has not handled his one issue well. And damnit, he isn't having to fight a federal investigation - yet.

11. Like Bush, Nixon was a war monger
He had an "enemies list" and used every government agency available to stalk liberals. He was the father of the "swift boat" agenda and it could be said his ghost was present while these nasty men destroyed John Kerry's character.
