He's kissed up to the * cartel over, and over, and over again. What else is new? What I'm really sorry about is that Kerry doesn't have what it takes to lead us out of the abyss. This truly pains me. He would have made a wonderful president. But it was more important to save his political "capital" for an illusive and hopefully unattainable 2008 primary race, than fight like hell for a presidency every single statistical analysis indicates he won.

That's my opinion and I know it offends many here. But I believe this needs to be repeatedly stated by those os us brave enough to buck against the DLC powers that be.

7. Up until a few days ago, I would have fought for Kerry
Kerry is still a great politician.

I still have great respect for him.

I still believe that he SHOULD HAVE won and that he DID WIN.

But now?

Do I want him to be president in 2008?

No.

I want Barbara Boxer in 2008!

13. 2008 is irrelavant. Is that what this is about? Is it threatening for
Kerry to speak out because it appears he will run again?" I have seen nothing in the last few days that inspires the total trashing of Kerry I have seen here lately. Compared to Gore's retreat from politics for two years, Kerry has been a virtual shadow President.

23. It's a "both/and" thingie
I can support Boxer AND Kerry, AND anyone else who stands up.

I don't have to pick, you see, because it's a Democrat thing. As long as they're both moving in the same direction, it's all good.

It's a gesture since I'm accused of being a Kerry Basher...I try to find good things to post about him from time to time. Just so folks who don't know, know that I'm fair...:D

17. It's appreciated
The PAC is also for fighting the Bush Co.

I do believe we've already participated in it's workings, from the children's health care bill petition, to the soldiers phone cards, to the "call the majority leaders" email on Jan. 5th, and the "oust the Rummy" email from today. I believe the PAC is called "Friends of John Kerry, Inc." It needs to have a better "coming out party" I believe. It's not as noticable as it should be that we're already dealing with the PAC. Speculation of course. I THINK that's what's happening.

12. Stop dissing Kerry
He just came back from the Middle East, spoke at MLK day yesterday, and at least showed up and grilled Condi. He was tired and hoarse. Travelling will do that do you. BTW, where are the other dems who ran in the primaries with Kerry? This s@*t is getting really, really old.:puke:

14. You didn't see the hearings ...

So you thought you'd take the opportunity to offer another slam in his direction, based on what?

Find a transcript, or watch the hearings if C-SPAN replays them, or go to C-SPAN's website and see if you can find some clips.

Then get back to us.

16. If you'll reread my subject title, I said IF he caved.
I admittedly don't know what happened today. I do know what happened during the Patriot Act vote, IWR vote, and after presidential theft redux last November. Kerry consistently CAVES into the bushistas.

18. I read your title ...
Edited on Tue Jan-18-05 08:44 PM by RoyGBiv
You offered a rhetorical qualifier signifying nothing but your assumptions.

Then I read your message, which was full of nothing but rebuke based on ignorance, i.e., what you falsely assumed would happen.

I'll rephrase: You didn't see the hearings and so had nothing new to say and so decided to offer yet another criticism of Kerry based on nothing pertinent to the events you yourself invoked by mentioning you didn't see them.

Edited on Tue Jan-18-05 09:28 PM by RoyGBiv
Your criticisms had nothing do with with the events you invoked by mentioning you did not see them.

I am thus forced to conclude what I originally concluded and then rephrased. You had no point but to offer another criticism of Kerry.

As they say, "yawn."

O-B-K-B. Thanks for letting us know.

Sorry you missed the festivities. I understand they were wondrous, from Kerry to Boxer to Feingold et al.

Why does this need to be repeatedly stated? Just wondering. It's so, you know, repetitive.

Thank you, zulchzulu.

Kerry can't do anything to suit some of these people. That's fine, but crikey ... over & over & over! We get it, you don't like him, you like (insert your favorite candidate here) - they don't have to hammer Kerry just to show abject adoration for their favorite (insert your favorite candidate here). The man is doing his job, (insert your favorite candidate here) can do theirs at the same time - we'll all be that much more ahead!

but change, monumental change in the way our political system works is more than one man can do. John Kerry has, and is, doing the best he can considering the hostile climate Democrats find themselves in.

It wasn't Kerry's time this election cycle and maybe 2008 will be better but we don't know what's going to happen. We should, however, be open to another Kerry run. He's a good candidate and if elected would make a great president.

John Kerry did what he could but he is only one person and he needs the party to back him up.

Kerry is being blamed for *losing* the 2004 election the way Al Gore was blamed for *losing* the 2000 election.

There's no pleasing some people.
