As some of you may know, some DU'ers are starting a progressive 527. The orginal purpose was to sell progressive policies and to win the values debate. The 527 also aims to bring rural voters back into our party in much larger numbers.
This post is to see if anyone out there is interested becoming the treasurer of this group. As soon as we have a treasurer, we will be able to fill out the paperwork to launch this thing and start making a difference.

What's involved in being treasurer? Prior experience needed? I've been involved in campaigns before, but not in a financial capacity. Was an Assistant Commissioner in NYC, managed large budget -- good enough???

4. Its really about filling out the paper work |
|
keeping record, managing the bank account, and filing the financial disclosures. We have a lawyer lined up to look over the filing before we submit it.
