What's the next step with the Gonzales nomination?
Has he been voted on? Is he voted on first in the Judiciary or is the next step the full Senate? When does the next vote happen?

1. On hold for at least a week; he just turned in answers to questions
yesterday, 200 pages worth.

Boston Globe today in an editorial urged voting against his confirmation. I hope Dems will stand up and vote against his nomination.

2. The Rice nomination is the next step....
an optimist might think they are approving these unacceptable nominees so that they can vote against the "worst" one when the time is appropriate. keeping their powder dry?

4. Rumor is
they'll announce his confirmation next week. It's only a DC rumor but I think it's accurate.

5. They can't just "announce" it right?
There would have to be a vote first wouldn't there?
