3. Give the President whomever he wants for his "family." Bu
Bush is a war criminal, so I guess according to Senator Dodd's logic he ought to have a war criminal to represent him as his PNAC stooge.

5. Sadly, after his questioning Condi re torture and her non-response...
he doesn't seem to mind sending the message that it's okay the person representing the US to the world finds torture okay and lies through her teeth. Not good!

11. that is what gets me - they are rubber stamping torture in confirming
her = she was very specific she agreed with torture and ignoring the geneva conventions - this is a problem for us - the world I hope starts seeing this - because our senators are not willing to help us be a democracy with moral values - torture is not a moral value

9. Thanks
I edited it for accuracy.

If Dems distance themselves from Catholics, they'll be giving up a natural voter base and a whole lot of people. I'm hoping that's not happening.

13. Maybe the Church is distancing itself from the reality
of people's lives.

Sorry, I was born into the Catholic faith but I do not advocate the man made doctrine of the patriarchy.

12. What does he think this capitulation purchases?
It will fit into yet another vainglorious floor speech. "She had my support and look what she did with it" -after the INEVITABLE ensuing screw-ups.

They knew Ashcroft was a loon when they confirmed him. What is the motivation? They get nothing for it (for US, which should be their consideration!)

Why not a simple, congenial 'My vote in this is inconsequential and superfluous. Godspeed to you' and vote NO?
