It's funnny how MSNBC tries to make it sound like * is writing
his own speech.

"President Bush is working on the 23rd draft of his inaugural address."

Of course he is, Lester. Of course he is. If writing out the polysyllabic words "fo-net-tic-cuh-lee" counts, I'm sure he's working hard on the speech.

I remember now why I stopped watching MSNBC after 2 November.

2. Oh, how I wish he'd write his own speech!
I'm sure he'd start shouting about "smearing the queers" and "nukking the camel land" before breaking down and ending up pantsless.

On second though, what does it matter? The MSM would just find a way to turn that into a positive.

4. That'd be a great idea instead of a debate in 2008.
What you do is put each candidate in a room with a pen, some paper, and NO communication with the outside. Then you assign them both a neutral but election-relevant topic and make them write a speech on the spot. Give them a few hours, be fair about it. Then they have to come out and deliver the speech. The trick would be to make the question specific enough that they couldn't have something written and memorized on the topic. The shit that would have come out of Bush's mouth. . . it would have been 45 minutes of "Tell that to Tony Blair!"

11. oh, I love that!
As a writing teacher, I have been interested in getting ahold of some of bush's actual writing. I scoffed when I saw him at the school after the planes hit the WTC. He was running around with a tablet and a pencil. Yeah, right: like that fool could even write a complete sentence!

Some day we'll know. Someone on the WH staff will have collected his scribblings and will publish them.

including that gushy blonde the BBC now uses.

Jon Stewart is right. They're hurting us.

8. he's going to need a lot of rehearsal!
They don't want him saying "erection" instead of "election", as he almost did a few days ago!

13. Last time they had a PR like that, the yellow cake happened.
It was suddenly someone else'd fault. Then MWO (where are you) wrote the 'writing" photo ops.
