Ed Schultz said he doesn't think that
"Not a damn Dime" tomorrow is not a good thing. Sorry that's all I got, was picking up my son. Did anyone else hear the rest?

2. I don't think it will be effective
But I wouldn't say that its not a worthwhile thing to try.

3. I think it's kinda like the "don't buy gas" days.
It ultimately will not accomplish much.

4. There is a long list of international boycott sites
here

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/EarthU/links/Boycott_US___UK_001101513551/

let me know if that link doesn't work. I think tomorrow's one day protest is the very least of their worries.

6. You spend the money the day before or the day after - NO impact.

10. It's not meant to impact the monthly profit/loss sheet...
... it's meant to put a blip on the daily sales chart. A symbolic measure, not financial.

11. I understand and I probably won't spend any money tomorrow but I
don't think it is particularly effective. :)

13. The impact is that it got in the media. They KNOW.
That's the point of a boycott. It already worked.

7. Schultz
Ed Schultz didn't like the idea of Not One Damn Dime Day cause it would give Rethugs a chance to say that Liberals are anti-Business.

He also said to one caller to think about the locally owned store who is trying to feed his family. Is it right to not give him the business? He also said that if you want to boycott a store like Wal Mart go ahead, but don't do it for just one day.

12. Exactly
Many of us have easily gone one whole day in the past year or even month , or even week when we spent NOTHING.

One sales blip day really means nothing in the long run/big picture.

8. A better plan is to stop shopping at businesses that donate to the GOP
As a lifelong rule. It's easy if you live in a decent sized city.

14. If it makes You and I feel Good...DO IT! ...otherwise it's a small gesture
BUT...small gestures turn into BIG MOVEMENTS. So...go with what you want to do. Whatever we do that seems "small, teeny, inconsequential..will be SOMETHING BIG, One Day!

Coming from a 60's person here...who was NOT Abby Hoffman but watched it all. Little seed spring forth into big FLOWERS.

Without planting the "seeds" we are nobody. "Not One Dime for Bush" is important...in it's own way. I'm not going out to spend tomorrow..but if you do...do it "light." :D...It will grow... ENCOURAGEMENT!
