I think Iran is next....
Did any one else get the distinct impression that we are going into Iran with the same type of propaganda being thrown around today and yesterday in the hearings, as in 2003/Iraq.

Point 1:

Iraq has a "freedom deficit" bad people, civil right violations, woman being discriminated against, etc.

Point 2:

Iraq has WMD

Point 3:

All the dem senators trying to make sure that we will know the full story from now on.....not half truths, differing intelligence opions, etc.

Point 4:

She wouldn't answer straight about Iraq and that even if they gave up all of their nuclear capabilities and weapons, it still would not be good enough for them to be negotiated with or have diplomacy and that we would take it to the UN security council. All of this had a very very familiar ring to it.

What do you guys and gals think?

1. When you use the word Iraq, it's really supposed to be
Iran right? Anyway, there is no doubt in my mind that Iran is next. And sooner than later. They will hype it up somehow and what's really fucking scary is that China is selling missles to Iran. So we are essentially going to start ww3.

2. Wesley Clark warned us about this over and over again....

Here is what he had to say about the Neocon's plan for Iran....
and the rationale that would be used...

Next is Iran, supporting terrorism and needing perhaps another two to three years to assemble its first nuclear weapon. The strategy here will be to act indirectly, weakening the mullahs by cutting off support to Hezbollah and attempting to fuel internal resistance. A pre-emptive strike against nuclear facilities remains an option, perhaps a bit in the future.

3. It certainly sounds that way...
but I hope we are overreacting. It's so damn scary to think that he would actually get us involved there. I don't think the people will support it since more think he's handlin Iraq poorly but maybe if there was a big crisis (read terrorist attack) he could get away with it.

4. We will be bombing Iran sometime in the next few months.
But no invasion.
