I had a LTE Published in my local paper

Bush is misleading American public

In a recent interview with the Washington Post, George W. Bush claimed that he would not be pressing senators to pass a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. Misleading the public is what George W. Bush does best. First he misled the country on Saddam Hussein's possession of WMDs, and now he misled the Christian Right on his commitment to ban gay marriage. When will Americans wake up and realize they are being bamboozled?

2. Good for you!! LTE are a good way of speaking out.
I wrote one and had it accepted, but first they had to confirm that I was the author-- unfortunately we ended up playing phone tag and it never was printed. :(

6. Good form!
I mean that literally.

Short and to the point, with an edge. Editors like that.

Now stand by for the repug replies.

7. You are missing it I think
Keeping the subject out of the National Agenda and making it a State and local action. That is how the gay marriage issue won the Presidency in 04. It will now be a major point in States where there are Senate seats to be had in 06. The issue is already heating up in Florida to be used against Democrats and Nelson.

9. Good job. I could never say it in so few words.
Papers LOVE the shorter letters that make a point quickly.

I'm a meanderer. heh
