Two CA congresswomen support Roemer to prove party inclusivity.

SNIP..."SAN FRANCISCO - Two Democratic congresswomen who support abortion rights have penned a letter to members of the Democratic National Committee endorsing an abortion rights opponent, former Indiana congressman Tim Roemer, to be the next Democratic party chairman.

In the letter dated Wednesday, California Reps. Anna Eshoo and Ellen Tauscher called Roemer "the candidate we trust" for the DNC chairmanship and warned activists not to discount him because of his views on abortion.

"As chair of the DNC, he will not set policy nor will he propose altering the Democratic Party platform on this issue," Eshoo and Tauscher wrote. "We know Tim as a Catholic who has deep personal convictions on the issue of abortion."

Eshoo and Tauscher said they were endorsing Roemer because of his policies on national security and his interest in strengthening the state parties. And, they wrote, his election would demonstrate that the Democratic Party is truly committed to a diversity of views on critical issues.

"His election would prove that we are an inclusive party that welcomes those who agree with our bedrock Democratic ideals, but may hold differing positions on issues across a number of policy areas," they wrote."

1. "Will not set policy"... "endorsing Roemer for his policies on Nat. Sec."
A real "I voted for it before I voted against it" moment.

2. Frankly, his voting against Clinton's fiscal policies in 93' and for Bush
tax cuts is a bigger problem for me. I think people can disagree on abortion but he seems to disagree on the entire fiscal/economic policy of the Democrats too.

:wtf:

3. Thanks for bringing that up.
I no longer support his nomination for chair. That would be like having Lincoln Chaffee run for GOP Chair- a RINO who will not remove his party label but espouses little of its platform.

4. It boggles the mind that 2 female California Democratic congresspersons
Edited on Wed Jan-19-05 09:44 PM by Rowdyboy
would endorse an anti-abortion congressman.

9. I know they don't set policy..but it got
me curious when I googled it..and couldn't find anything except a LAtimes article that said the insiders didn't want Dean because they didn't want to "derail their efforts" on National Security issues.

snip~
"WASHINGTON — Onetime presidential contender Howard Dean announced his candidacy for the Democratic Party chairmanship Tuesday, dismaying some party leaders who feared a Dean victory would derail their efforts to reposition the party on national security and social issues." end snip~

8. Don't criticize Roemer for his stance on abortion...but
let's all feel free to point out that Roemer is the president of the Council of National Policy, the most dangerous and powerful sect of the elite that put Bush and Facism back in the White House.

"The fact of the matter is, Tim Roemer is current president of the CNP Council of National Policy and is a willing companion and even has a relative in the Knights of Malta. He is at the very center of Opus Dei government, and soon he will take over the reigns of the DNC chair.

James Dobson has been wishing for this day very quickly, as it will extend their grasp over the minds of the people by fore-fronting more evangelical wards and religious dictatorships, which will force a republic for Opus Dei unlike any has seen before.

Roemer's history with playing politics on behalf of the Oil industry is clouded, and full of deadlock deeds in which the pope pats him on the back. It is their way of god or the highway, and all such organizations are tax exempt. Now they will gladly pawn the rest of you who believe in Roemer's "forward thinking" into becoming slaves for nothing more than fanaticism.

These are some of the folks Roemer worked for:

http://www.disinfopedia.org/wiki.phtml?title=John_Brademas
John Brademas

John Brademas is a Rhodes Scholar and believed to be a
member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He is a
former Congressman from Indiana (58-91) and former
chair and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Brademas is chair of American Ditchley Foundation and
Trustee Emeritus of the Aspen Institute. His name has
been linked with both the Rockefeller Foundation and
the RAND Corporation.

John Brademas is President Emeritus of NYU. He was
Chairman of the Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt
Institute (FERI) between 1993 and 2001 and, "...on
January 18, 2001, FERI Board Member Brademas was
presented with the NED's 'Democracy Service Medal' in
recognition for his years of service on the NED board
of directors."

"Prior to serving as NYU's president between 1981 and
1992, FERI board member Brademas was a Congressional
representative from South Bend, Indiana for 22 years.
According to CURRENT BIOGRAPHY, in October 1976 the
former NED (National Endowment for Democracy) Chairman
'acknowledged that he had accepted about $5,000 in
campaign funds in 1970, 1972 and 1974 from Park Tong
Sun, the Washington party fixture under federal
investigation for influence-peddling' in the Koreagate
Affair. As NYU's president, FERI Board Member Brademas
also was the chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of
New York and a director of the Rockefeller Foundation,
the New York Stock Exchange, Scholastic Inc., Loew's
Corp., RCA/NBC and Texaco.

There is more than one connection to the Knights
above.

Roemer also worked for Senator Dennis DeConcini of AZ,
a known member of the Knights of Malta."

etc etc

I guess we should be so lucky to witness the big ascent of the New World Order, the ultimate dream of the Illuminati for centuries. They've been working hard at it for a long time, so let's all give them a round of applause! Hooray for global dominance!

10. Here's Roemer's bio, clearly states he is the CNP president

This man is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Scratch that, he is a mutant killer cybernetic wolf hell bent on leading the armies of darkness to the slaughter of innocents, in sheep's clothing (ok I'm exagerrating, but do a search on the Council of National Policy at namebase.org or whatever and tell me those bastards are anything but pure evil).

http://www.9-11commission.gov/about/bio_roemer.htm

"Timothy J. Roemer
Commissioner

Tim Roemer is president of the Center for National Policy (CNP) and a distinguished scholar at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, a non-profit research and educational institution dedicated to improving public policy outcomes. Prior to joining CNP, Roemer was a partner at Johnston and Associates. From 1991-2003, Roemer represented the Third District of Indiana in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he served on the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Science. Before running for Congress, he served on the staffs of John Brademas of Indiana (1978-1979) and Senator Dennis DeConcini of Arizona (1985-1989). He holds a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego, Calif., and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Notre Dame University. While he was in Congress Roemer was recognized for his successful leadership on bipartisan legislation to balance the budget, reform welfare, improve the affordability of higher education, and reform elementary and secondary education for school children. He was appointed to the Intelligence Committee's Task Force on Homeland Security and Terrorism and served on the bipartisan Joint Inquiry which issued a report on the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. He was the key author of the legislation in the House of Representatives to establish the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States."
