"Happy Days Are Here Again"? WTF?
Edited on Thu Jan-20-05 04:12 PM by trof
The Stone High School band of Wiggins, MS just played the traditional Democratic song of celebration in front of the reviewing stand.
Is the band director a closet dem?
Did he just get a not-so-subtle shot in at the smirk?
Ha!

2. Now, that's funny!
I have a shot glass with a pic of a donkey and "Happy Days are Here Again" on it. I was hoping to use it to toast Kerry today, but alas, I'll put it away in the hopes I can use it in 4 years.

3. I alwasy associate that song with the
Great Depression. I had NO idea it was a "traditional Democratic song" -- are you sure about that?????

4. 1932, this song was played at the Democratic presidential convention…
…and became a campaign song for Franklin D. Roosevelt.

It's been associated with Dems ever since then.

6. And there's Bush, looking like a douchebag with his weak attempts at
headbanging to the music of the bands. No rhythm whatsoever!

8. Please let it have been a shot at Cmdr. Bunnypants.
I hope it wasn't an accident of ignorance.
