Disgraceful freeping commentator on NPR
I usually give NPR the benefit of the doubt with putting the right wingers on but this guy was in full on fascist mode. Positively nauseating.

Morning Edition, January 19, 2005 · Commentator John Ridley asks the public to buck up and support the president's agenda, even when it hurts. He says the American public wrote the president a check when they awarded him with a second term, and now have to let him cash it.

1. it's funny, when Clinton won a second term, they wouldn't honor that check

2. John Ridley not a freeper
I think he writes for "The West Wing". He wrote some pretty cool books including "Everybody Smokes in Hell".

3. Aren't there laws against hate speech?
This sort of rhetoric shouldn't be tolerated.

If my 12 year old ever spoke like that about anyone, he would lose his privileges for a week. Yet the MSM not only tolerates this hate speech, they encourage it. Maybe we should start filing FCC complaints?

4. It won't work
Falwell actually called for the killing of gay people, and the FCC wouldn't touch it.

They only regulate naughty words and nipples.

Hate speech, incitement to violence, etc.... they say those are a matter for "law enforcement."

Believe me, I've tried.
