They didn't start this movement 30+ years ago just to do it. They didn't start this movement 30+ years ago because they had a little bit of extra money laying around and didn't know what else to do with it. They're in this to win...everything.

They don't fund think tanks, buy media outlets, and own politicians so they can play the game of democracy. When you invest billions of dollars over a long period of time, you expect results.

Honestly, if a guy like John Negroponte can pop back up again as an ambassador to another country we're in militarily, it's not ending with this administration. When Elliot Abrams can find yet another position of power in the government, it's not ending with this administration.

Granted, funny line from Stewart last night, and I always end my day with The Daily Show because it's one of the few places left for sanity. But we're not half way through anything.

he didn't say the banana republican movement was half over, he said the bush administration was half over.

not fair to go 30 years back to the start of the banana republican movement and keep the 4 years on the other side.

if you want to talk about the movement that started 30 years ago, try granting 30 years on the other side as well. maybe we are indeed halfway through a 60 year banana republican movement.

i agree that 4 years from now banana republicans will still be an active menace to america, but shrub will be out of the picture.
