4. MTP has gotten absolutely ridiculous about this. Lately they will have
two RW columnists on and balance it with two journalists who are supposed to be objective and that is a balanced program.

6. Thomas is probably on to recant what he said about SS
He was quoted as saying the issue of reform was "dead" in Congress (kinda like Arlen Specter saying that anti-choice justices wouldn't get through committee). The WH has probably gotten to him and wants him to now say "I was misquoted."
