26. Terry McAuliffe

Crimes: Chairman of the Democratic National Committee. Said, "This is the best election night in history" on November 2, 2004, just before 8pm EST. Not only presided over the pathetic Kerry defeat, but held the same position in the 2000 fiasco. A driving force in the Republicanization of Democrats, he personally saw to it that the charismatic Dean campaign was crushed to make way for Kerrybot. Doesn’t understand that winning is not necessarily about copying what winners do, but more often not doing what losers do.

Smoking Gun: Said the party will spend "whatever it takes" to study complaints from Ohio voters that included uncounted votes, long lines, shortages of ballots, understaffed polling stations and voting machine errors. Still studying, apparently.

Punishment: Hillary Clinton as a cellmate for life.

2. I guess George Bush doesn't deserve any focus as a worst person.

I personally find any list that doesn't have 100 Republicans listed exclusively as the worst 100 persons on the planet (we could do that with just the cabinet, the Republican part of the Senate and throw a few folks from the House) isn't worth shit.

We would have to go pretty far down to get to a Democrat, any Democrat.

Look, I didn't say that all Democrats are great; or that I admire all of them. I don't like Lieberman for instance, I might even despise him. But is he among the most 50 most loathsome people on the planet? Give me a break. Anyone who thinks that ought to take their heads out of their asses to contemplate an Iraqi child blown to bits by our Repuke leadership.

All I am saying is that I think people who sit around worrying about Lieberman or McAuliffe, when there is Bush, Cheney, DeLay to worry about, are a morally and intellectually weak. They are themselves exactly part of the reason that these abysmal war criminals have the power that they do.

but I think the list was spot on with it's assertions regarding Zell Miller. He beats out McCain and some of the more moderate Repugs in my opinion. In a revised 50 most loathsome, Zell (if any) would be the highest Dem in the list.
