What have the democrats done for us/you/america since 2000?

In other words - how have elected dems in your area/state/country made things better? How about liberals/progressives in general - how do you feel they have helped out our nation through educating others (films, websites, et al) and is this an improvement over previous years?

While many steps have been taken backwards in last 4 years, what has gone forward (and again, not just in the entire US, but your local area)?

Just looking for something positive in a sea of negative...

2. The only 2 things worth mentioning, from my memory.....

1) Howard Dean reminding us that we're supposed to be DEMOCRATS and waking up the bloated DLC infected corpse of this party - but not enough to prevent neocon infiltrators from throwing the game again, unfortunately :( Still Dean continues on, and some of us were paying attention.

2) Governor Christine Gregoire & The Washington State Democratic Party taking on the fascist election stealing neocon shitbags in 2004, and winning (and thanks to all of you who helped)
