ALERT! Freepers hacking this poll!!!
Did you think the inauguration speech was inspiring?

In 30 minutes this poll went from;

Yes, inspiring - 1289
didn't see - 1039
No- S.O.S. - 1014

-to-

Yes - 4593
didn't see - 1059
No - 1057

That can't be right.

Get on it!

10. It will be referenced by someone, at some point.
It matters to some degree because the SPT (St. Petersburg Times) poll will be used to give more ammo to Joe sixpack to ignore reality.

Kind of like when you see a movie trailer and it gets rave reviews;

"I was amazed at the astounding action" - Amarillo Gazette.

"A non-stop thrill-ride of massive proportions" - Cornelius Flyer.

As opposed to;

"I couldn't believe the tired plot devices" - Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun Times.

"It's trash" - New York Post.

Joe sixpack does not understand 'source citation'.
So we do what we can to take away some ammo.

No one is asking you to dedicate a year of your life to this poll, just go say 'no' and pass it on... spend 15 minutes posting elsewhere and telling people.

Unless it kills you. - then don't

7. WTF does it matter??
Edited on Sat Jan-22-05 11:47 PM by seriousstan
I am sick and tired of the amount of time and effort given to these internet polls. If they can be Freeped or DUed, what do they mean? NOTHING!!

12. Think of this....
How did they get 5000 responses in 40 minutes?

How come the 'No's got barely 50?

That should tell a story all by itself.

17. It doesn't matter. People here ask to DU a poll and people there
ask to Freep a poll. The polls are irrelevant and BS.

19. Just wait till some 'moran' cites it... wouldn't it be funny if
It's an MSM whore?

They'll be citing a fact too.

"A recent Florida Poll says the Inaugural address was inspiring to 95% of Americans! - Now that's unity. This President has a Mandate after all."

Just wait.

This is a microcosm my friend... for something, well, more.

14. I Remember A Hacked/Freeped CNN Poll (Pre-2004 Selection)
It changed pro-repug, something like 100,000 every 10 minutes. I think it was a "Who will you vote for question." (*, Kerry) It was strong Kerry, then whap!
Strong * - way too fast, WAY TOO FAST! Very, very strange. No way in hell was that "poll" legit, no way in hell

18. Yeah - It's a guy with a remodulating IP address set to
revisit and revote every three seconds or so... just take a minute-by minute sample and you'll see it's automated.

We're not that stupid - but the rest of America is.

25. It stopped, just now...
It was going up @ 40.7 votes per minute, then it stopped at 7679.

Interesting.

Do we know any Poll-busters?

The technique seems obvious.

It's creepy - it stopped right at 78%.

Get someone to vote - see if there's a correspondance.
