We need to make Bushco unAmerican not us.
The press & shrubco are trying to paint us as terrorist or anti-American at best. Understand that one of the problems that we are having with getting more people to wake up is their strong aversion to anything anti-American. America is wonderful. That is what we have always been told and always believed. It's not an easy thing to realize that America is not the America we think she is.
So, when we protest and other things, we should try to add pro-american stuff or make it clear that Bush is the cause of the anti-american stuff.
Like "We LOVE our soldiers. Bring them home" "Support the troops, Bring them home" and "Bush has shamed America" "Bush has made America a joke to the world" or whatever but making it clear that WE KNOW AMEICA is GREAT too, but that bush has demoralized it. Bush is killing America. Make bush anti american not us.

1. We need a
"Remember when...." campaign.

Like remember when:

America's word was all it took.
An honest day's work paid a living wage.
Americans didn't have to be born with millions to succeed.
In America, you could count on education as a hand out of poverty.
American reached for the moon and landed on it.

The list could go on and on.

In this brave new world of technology, there is room for the right kind of tradition. We need to create a little nostalgia.

2. Great idea! Why are THEY trying to fix the US?
It hasn't been broke, but it's showing signs of fatigue since January 2001.

3. I agree
The poll on the other board rooting for defeat of U.S. troops and the elections sure doesn't help. Wake up, people.

4. "Great Americans"
When my stomach and brain can handle it, I listed to the Hannity radio show just to keep up with the opposition. If you are not a listener, please be aware that almost every caller to the show refers to Hannity as a "Great American" and Hannity refers to callers who happen to support him (99+++percent) as "Great Americans" also.

Consistent with the philosophy of your post, I would like to suggest that we all refer to each other as GREAT AMERICANS also.
Hannity show use of this term is clearly intended to imply that ONLY people who agree with their political philosophy are Great Americans and that should be contradicted at every opportunity!

8. Americans LOVE nostalgia! Great idea...How about a film?????
I know this sounds nuts...oh well...all in the name of patriotism! Here goes...Consider this: Michael Moore wins ANOTHER People's Choice Award for his new film!!!! Look at the success of Farenheit 911! Why not take a step back in time? This country would welcome a movie highlighting a kinder, gentler America! Once upon a time there was a land where opportunity knocked at EVERYONE's door! I know this is an ambitious idea but...what the hell! Do you think it could have some legs???

9. Label Chimpageddon what he is - uncool and a huge national security risk.
excellent post, thanks...

I've been getting a little traction with wingaroos by talking about how Bush isn't shrewd enough for his agenda. What do you think? I don't know, it's kind of like saying he isn't bad enough. I tell them if they really want a killer for a president, a man who wants to invade every country they'd like... why can't he be shrewd about it? I mean this is his idea of being sneaky.

"HEY IRAN, NORTH KOREA, SYRIA, ANYBODY ON MY LIST - I'M COMING TO GET YOU!!!"

I mean is that the kind of talk you want out of leader, even if you do want him to invade these nations?

I'm sorry but if I am any country on * shit list, I am getting with the others and my big brothers, Russia and China, and start planning, maybe go on the offense, G-d forbid. You know Bush was in office less than 6 months and Russia and China signed a friendship pact for the first time in 60 years. Bush is a uniter of sorts.

I always heard the French and the Germans have the best terrorist intel on the planet...what does Chimpageddon do after 911? He and Rove order his cult following to hate the French and Germans. Now, if you're an intel agent in those countries, how does that sit with you?

The man is inept and has wizzed away our nation's credibility, that alone makes us less safe.

I said this Dec 13, 2000, the shoes still fits

Bush IS a national security risk.
