No War in Iran Petition reaches passes 15% mark
On day 4 of it's existance the No War in Iran petition has passed the 1500 signature mark. I'm hoping to get to 10,000 signatures fairly quickly. The petition reads

To:  United Nations General Assembly

We, the undersigned, urge you, the members and officers of the United Nations General Assembly, to pass a resolution against and to use all of your diplomatic and political powers to prevent an attack on the sovereign nation of Iran by the United States of America and/or her allies.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned

While it is unlikely that the UN will actually do anything at this point, the signatories to this petition come from (literally) all over the planet - have a look at the signatures if you have time and sends a clear message from the very beginning that there will be massive international opposition to such a war.

So, please consider signing if you haven't and please pass it along to others who might be interested.

4. Thanks All!
Right wingers have started signing it just for an opportunity to rant, but that's ok, it will give the people at the UN an idea of the mentality they are dealing with.

Things like

The UN is a fraud designed to foment terrorism. Enough!America's enemies will be ruthlessly and utterly destroyed. Let's do it NOW!

and

Screw you Leftist weasels and your terrorist buddies! You think the head-choppers will save you homos? Dream on. It's going to be WAR! Screw Peace. Peace is for Democrats, and they're losers. Americans Want WAR!

and my favourite from John Galt of Topeka, Kansas

Would you idiots that are not Americans stop signing this stupid petition; your opinion is of no consequence. We are not going to take into account the wishes of Leftists/terrorists. Have a rotten life, idiots.

Who is apparently too stupid to actually read what he signs - since this petition is to the UN General Assembly.
