Leonard Pitts article in paper...Want to give him a piece of my
mind.

Usually I agree with just about everything he writes but this had me seething today!

"It's Time Kerry and Others Get Over Election"

here is his email if you want to set him straight lpittsherald.com

How many times are we going to have to ask dems to not use words like conspiracy theory, and talk about the election results not being different. What happened to expecting every vote to be counted???

1. He's right
“For years after the war,” he said, “Southern partisans vainly refought the Civil War battles, particularly the crucial second day of Gettysburg, as if trying to get a different answer to a math problem.”

There is, it seems to me, some of that going on with regard to the election. It’s as if Democrats are trapped by hindsight, doomed to crunch that math in desperation until the numbers add up to a more palatable sum. Meanwhile, George W. Bush was inaugurated for his second term Thursday."

It's time to focus on picking the DNC chair, planning to save social security, block an invasion of iran, obstruct further tax cuts, and win 2006 midterms. If we keep fighting 2004, we will lose all of these other battles.

5. Pitts is correct.
I'm rather sick of the conspiracy theories myself. 2000 was stolen, 2004 probably wasn't. Frankly, I think a lot of people are just in denial.
