I just read this post at the Rockridge Institute's website. This was such an insightful comment that I'm reposting it here so that we all will be aware:

Re-framing WMD
Submitted by glutinator on Wed, 01/19/2005 - 10:27.

I watched the Rice hearings yesterday with an understandable level of unease. As the rhetoric continued, I became more and more disturbed by a phrase she and one of the Senators used repeatedly: "World's most dangerous..." when referring to terror and tyranny. I winced a little every time I heard it, out of reflex. Then it hit me... "World's Most Dangerous..." WMD! The conservatives are on the move! Within weeks we will have forgotten the original blundering definition of WMD and now we as a nation will be trained to refer to North Korea, Iran, Syria, etc as the WMDs. Call them out, please. There is still time.

ON EDIT: If the NeoCons spent half as much time thinking of was to solve poverty as they do thinking about ways to manipulate the English language, they might actually contribute some good to the world.

1. Oh they ARE desperate, aren't they?
First we had the disingenuous "Oh but Saddam Hussein WAS a weapon of mass destruction" and now this?

Grasping at straws. Heck, there aren't even any straws there!

It won't erase the truth. No WMDs. NONE.

2. good catch
Like Chris Rock says, if Iraq was so dangerous, how come we took over the whole country in two weeks? You couldn't take over Baltimore in two weeks.

3. They assume we're all strung out on Ambien, and have no short term memory.
Like them.

4. Oh well, what do you expect from
Connedthesheeple Rice. Everything she's ever said has turned out to be false, and then we are expected to believe the "intelligence" was at fault etc. She's just evil...

5. Condoliesa
"We are able to keep his arms from him. His military forces have not been rebuilt."
Condoleeza Rice, April 2001

Any Dem that votes for her or Gonzales doesn't deserve to be in Congress.
